The Prince’s Prize and Prudi Hoggarth Audience Prize (for current Company prizewinners)

Established in 2004 to mark the installation of HRH The Prince of Wales as an Honorary Freeman of the Company on 21st November 2003, a silver medal and an honorarium to recognise the most promising young instrumentalist or singer amongst the Company’s Award winners. Applications are invited annually from the current winners of certain Company prizes and scholarships. The first round is judged from performances on recorded media. Finalists compete publicly at a venue in London.

The Prize received a generous endowment in 2015 from Sir Evelyn de Rothschild’s Eranda Rothschild Foundation and Rothschilds’ Bank, in memory of Leopold de Rothschild (a Liveryman of the Company for over fifty years).

The Prudi Hoggarth Audience Prize is kindly sponsored by Liveryman Col Tim Hoggarth.
