Honorary Fellow Event

The Honorary Fellow Event for 2025 will take place in the Angela Burgess Recital Hall, Royal Academy of Music, on Tuesday 9th September beginning at 6.00 pm.
Renowned pianist and RAM Head of Piano, Joanna MacGregor CBE, will discuss and demonstrate composers’ approaches to the mystery of birdsong, from the early keyboards of Rameau, Couperin and Poglietti to later piano music including Janáček, Messiaen, Liszt and the Persian composer Hossein Alizâdeh.
Doors open at 5.45pm. The recital/lecture will end at 6.45 pm and will be followed by a short question-and-answer session and then a drinks reception, and the event will finish at 8.15 pm.
