The Prince’s Prize 2017

Following the installation of HRH The Prince of Wales as an Honorary Freeman in November 2003, the Company established The Prince’s Prize for the best young instrumentalist or singer chosen from the Company’s award winners in the current year. The Prize is now endowed through the generosity of the Eranda Rothschild Foundation and Rothschilds Bank, in memory of Leopold de Rothschild who was a Liveryman of the Musicians’ Company for over fifty years.
The finalists selected to compete for The Prince’s Prize will perform for 15 minutes each. A panel of adjudicators will decide the winner, who will receive a prize of £10,000 and a Silver Medal, which will be presented at the Company’s Installation Dinner in November. The Mrs Prudi Hoggarth Audience Prize of £500 will be awarded to the performer voted for by the audience. Members may book tickets via the Members’ Area of the website.
