Alderman Sir Roger Gifford 1955-2021

The Musicians’ Company is extremely saddened by the news of the death of Pastmaster Alderman Sir Roger Gifford, who died on 25th May after the recurrence of a long-term illness.

Sir Roger was Lord Mayor of London in 2012/2013 and Master of the Musicians’ Company (his Mother Company) in 2016/2017. He had been a Liveryman of the Company since 2005.

The next edition of Company’s magazine Preserve Harmony will contain tributes to Sir Roger. The Company extends its deep condolences to Lady Gifford and the family.
