The Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch 2023

The Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch, 30 March 2023

The brainchild of the Senior Warden, Michael Hockney [who has co-chaired it throughout, alongside each successive Lord Mayor], the first Lunch took place in 2008. It attracted 700 guests and raised £143,000. Following that successful beginning, attendance has grown and now all the principal spaces in Guildhall are used. This is a unique City event with which the Company has a long-term association. Its purpose is to raise funds for:

By last October, more than £2.85 million had been raised and since 2019 the Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch has aligned with the employment and employability strand of the Civic and Mayoral strategy. The funds raised provide support for veterans to take part in two programmes to help them back into work.

The Musicians’ Company has supported this City initiative by making a modest financial contribution and, significantly, providing live music performed by our Young Artists. Members and guests may book individually, but if ten or more join together to book as a group, they could secure a reserved area and an introductory glass of champagne in the Livery Hall.

Bookings cannot be made for this event through the Company office or website. For further details and bookings, please follow this link:
