Daniel Hart (piano): The Musicians’ Company #MiddayMusic

Daniel Hart (piano) joined the Musicians' Company Young Artists' Programme after winning a Musicians' Company concert award in 2020. Here he performs Bach’s Toccata. Daniel says: “I am Daniel Hart, a Cuban pianist born in Havana in 1994. I have been residing in Glasgow for the past 6 years, where I completed my undergraduate and master’s degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under the tutelage of Aaron Shorr, Petras Geniusas and Graeme McNaught. In 2020, I received a full scholarship from Manhattan School of Music to study a second masters in the class of Solomon Mikowsky. I have been a member of The Musicians Company since 2020 after winning their Musicians’ Company Concerts award. I have always believed that Bach’s music has almost healing qualities. In a time where so many people are struggling with mental health, music has kept making our days a little better. This is the reason I wanted to gift you this wonderful Toccata. From a composer who wrote such transcendent and elevated music and inspired so many after him.” -------------------------------------------------- About our Maisie Lewis and Concordia Young Artists' Fund - http://www.wcom.org.uk/awards/maisie-lewis-young-artists-fund-and-concordia-foundation-artists-fund Daniel’s Musicians’ Company page - http://wcom.org.uk/yeoman/daniel-hart Daniel’s Instagram - http://www.instagram.com/danielrharthimself -------------------------------------------------- Join our weekly #MiddayMusic e-news at http://eepurl.com/dv0ccr #MiddayMusic is supported by generous donations from members of the public, along with funds from the Musicians' Company’s Prince’s Prize which received a generous endowment in 2015 from The Eranda Rothschild Foundation and Rothschilds Bank, in memory of Leopold de Rothschild, a Liveryman of the Musicians’ Company for over 50 years.
