The Musicians’ Company at Handel House: Jonatan Bougt (theorbo)

Jonatan Bougt joined the Musicians' Company Young Artists' Programme after he was awarded our Constant and Kit Lambert Scholarship at the Royal College of Music in 2017 and 2018. Here he performs Robert de Visée - Prelude, Francois Couperin - Les Sylvain (arr. de Visée), George Friderich Händel - from Chaconne in G major HWV 442 (arr. Bougt) and de Visée - Prelude. Jonatan says: "I came to London from Sweden in 2013, and in 2019 was the first ever person to graduate from the Royal College of Music as a first study theorbist. During my studies I won both the RCM Guitar Competition and the RCM Historical Performance Competition.
