Biography

Spanish born cellist Alejandra Díaz is winner of the Carnegie Palmer Award of the Worshipful Company of Musicians and finalist of the International Pau Casals Grant. She has already performed at such prestigious venues as the Wigmore Hall, Barbican Hall, LSO St Luke´s and Milton Court Concert Hall. This year she completed a Masters in Performance at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Last season she appeared live on Radio 3 In Tune, principal cellist of the LSO Conducting Competition and leader of the chamber music festival “Homage to Catalunya” broadcast at Euro Classical Planet. This season she took part in the LSO String Experience Scheme and Santander Music Festival.
