Biography

Ayobami Salawu is a 21 year old drummer. He completed his BA (Hons) Professional Music Performance degree at the Academy of Contemporary Music in August 2016. He has been tutored by musicians such as Pete Riley, Toby Drummond, Mike Goodwin and many other experienced professionals in the music industry.

Ayo has been playing drums since the age of 2 and started performing from the age of 11. During his time at university Ayo was involved in a number of projects, including performing with Hamish Stuart of ‘The Average White Band’ and legendary saxophone player, Snake Davis for a live recording session, performing with ‘The Fontanelles’, studio sessions with John Gallen and more. Ayo’s main focus now is to get involved in as much professional music work as possible, and to maintain a long and successful music career.
