Biography
Gabriel has been recently awarded the Music Director Scholarship from the Worshipful Company of Musicians. He is currently studying Musical Direction and Coaching at the Royal Academy of Music after graduating from the University of Cambridge, holding a first class BA in Music from Queens’ College.
In Cambridge, he developed various student-written productions from the conceptual stage, working with composers and directors to arrange and orchestrate music for a variety of ensembles, including Living With Sin (Edinburgh Fringe Festival, 2022) and The Man Who Wouldn’t Be Murdered (Corpus Playroom, 2021).
In London, Gabriel has also worked as Music Director on productions of 13, Crazy for You, and Our House (Latymer Theatre Company, 2016, 2018, 2020), and has also worked as a rehearsal pianist under professional Music Directors for shows such as Legally Blonde (Latymer Theatre Company, 2021), and Sweeney Todd (Royal College of Music, 2019).
As well as musical theatre, Gabriel is also an experienced jazz pianist and composer, having been Music Director for the Cambridge University Jazz Orchestra in 2022-2023, and he routinely performs and composes for ensembles in professional settings around the UK.
Gabriel is thrilled to be joining the Company’s Young Artist Programme, and is excited to be representing the Company with his work over the coming years.
