This was when he decided to pursue a career in music inspiring him to audition for the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Debuting with the BBC Concert Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall back in December 2022 was a fantastic way to start this career.

He was also in the Trinity Laban Trombone Choir when they won the Philip Jones Brass Chamber Competition (2022).

Outside of playing, Jonathan is an enthusiastic arranger and has spent a year working as a Graduate Music Assistant at Wells Cathedral School. Jonathan is thrilled to be continuing his studies at the Royal College of Music in September as a Musicians’ Company Lambert Scholar.
