Biography

Saxophonist Rosemary Ball is an undergraduate student at the Royal College of Music (2022-26), studying the saxophone under Kyle Horch as a Robert Sutherland Award Holder. Rosemary was saxophonist for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain (2021-22), performing in the Bridgewater Hall, Barbican and the Royal Albert Hall in the BBC Proms. Rosemary has also enjoyed performing as a soloist in the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room, in the Royal College of Music’s concert hall, and on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune programme. In 2022, Rosemary won first prize in the Greek International Saxophone Festival Competition and was awarded with a Yamaha saxophone. Recently, Rosemary has enjoyed performing with the Odyssey Festival Orchestra in the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
