Biography
William has recently received a place to study for a masters degree at the Royal Academy of Music as well receiving The Worshipful Company of Musicians’ Musical Direction award. As well as this William is an active Musical Director and keyboard player. Whilst working in both the professional and amateur world, William recently received a first class honours in his BMus music performance degree at the University of Chichester. Whilst at Chichester, William has been engaged as Musical Director and Assistant Musical Director on many productions including Sweeney Todd, Merrily We Roll Along, Little Women, The Producers, South Pacific, Carousel, Footloose, Legally Blonde, Cinderella, Betty Blue Eyes, White Christmas and many other musical projects.
William has simultaneously worked professionally, recently playing keys for a number of shows on the Wonderland UK tour starring West End leading lady Kerry Ellis, and has also been Music Director for a number of companies in Sussex producing shows such as: Fiddler on the Roof, Cats, Chess, Singin’ in the Rain, The Wizard of Oz and Half a Sixpence. William also proudly held the role of Musical Supervisor for the Chichester Student Union’s Musical Theatre Society for his first three years at university. Within this role, William worked on many shows including: The Phantom of the Opera, Our House, High School Musical: Live on Stage! and Avenue Q. As Resident Musical Director of specialist performing arts college CAPA, William has conducted and played keys on a comprehensive list of shows, some of which include: Les Miserables, West Side Story, Cabaret, The Wiz and Cinderella. Whilst at Chichester, William has also been engaged on a number of other shows outside the university which include: Annie, Carousel, Jesus Christ Superstar, Beauty and the Beast and Les Miserables.
