Artur Haftman (piano): The Musicians Company #MiddayMusic

Artur Haftman joined the Musicians' Company Young Artists' Programme after he was awarded our Carnwath Piano Scholarship in 2019. Here he performs Chopin's Nocturne in F sharp Major Op. 15, No. 2 and Valse in A flat Major Op. 34, No. 1. Artur says: "I am performing Nocturne in F sharp Major Op. 15, No. 2 and Valse in A flat Major Op. 34, No. 1 today. This special Nocturne and Valse has always cheered me up and brought me peace during my challenging times. Therefore, I hope that these pieces can help you to get through this such difficult time during the global pandemic as well. I am a Polish pianist based in London, studying for Artist Diploma degree at the Royal College of Music under Professor Dmitri Alexeev, Jianing Kong and Sofya Gulyak. I began playing piano at the age of seven and made a début performance with an orchestra at the age of eight. Due to great opportunities and teachings, I have received numerous awards in international competitions. I am currently supported by RCM Gary and Eleanor Brass, Henry Wood Trust, Carnwath Piano Scholarship, Drake Calleja Trust, Talent Unlimited Musical Charity, the Hanna and Zdzisław Broncel Charitable Trust and Konfraternia Artystów Polskich. My upcoming concerts include Grand Tour in China, recital in Royal Albert Hall and in Polish National Grand Opera Hall." -------------------------------------------------- Musicians' Company Profile - http://www.wcom.org.uk/yeoman/artur-haftman About our Carnwath Piano Scholarship - https://www.wcom.org.uk/awards/the-carnwath-piano-scholarship Artur's Website - http://arturhaftman.com/en/home-en Artur's Twitter - http://twitter.com/ArturHaftman Artur's Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/arturhaftmanpiano Artur's Instagram - http://www.instagram.com/arturhaftman -------------------------------------------------- Join our weekly #MiddayMusic e-news at http://eepurl.com/dv0ccr #MiddayMusic is supported by funds from the Musicians' Company’s Prince’s Prize which received a generous endowment in 2015 from The Eranda Rothschild Foundation and Rothschilds Bank, in memory of Leopold de Rothschild, a Liveryman of the Musicians’ Company for over 50 years.
