Biography

Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Alina Pritulenko began playing the piano at the age of five. She started performing from the age of seven at numerous concerts and festivals. She has taken part in many masterclasses and in international competitions such as ‘Le Muse’ in Naples, Italy and ‘Iste’dod’ in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

In 2008, Alina started her musical education at the Republican Specialized Academic Lyceum of Music. During eleven years of education, she studied with piano professors Irina Arustamova and Gulnora Umarova.

After successful graduation from Uspensky’s Lyceum in all musical subjects, she was invited in 2019 to continue her education at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Alina has been awarded with number of scholarships and prizes including the Alfred and Therese Kitchen Scholarship, a Trinity College London Scholarship, a Bagri Foundation Scholarship, The David and Margaret Lipsey Scholarship, the Nancy Thomas Prize for Piano (for the highest-achieving Undergraduate piano student, identified by academic assessment), the Charles Proctor Prize for Choral Conducting, and the Director’s Prize for Excellence in Piano.  She is currently studying with professor Sergio De Simone. She has participated in a number of masterclasses, led by Joaquin Achucarro, Gabriel Kwok, Alim Beysimbaev, Pablo Galdo, Alessio Bax, and Natalia Kislenko. Her performances and recitals both solo and chamber music included such venues in London as the Old Royal Naval College Chapel, St James’s Piccadilly, Razumovsky Academy, Wigmore Hall, St. Luke’s, The National Gallery, and King’s Place.

She graduated from Trinity Laban with a First Class Honours degree and Silver Medal from Keyboard Department in July 2023 and was nominated as the Gold Medal finalist representing the Keyboard Department in the Trinity Laban Gold Medal Showcase at King’s Place on the 22nd of January, 2024. She is currently finishing her studies there for a Master’s degree on a full scholarship, kindly provided by Savile Club, Trinity College London, Tillet Trust, Boise Scholarship and the Biddy Baxter & John Hosier Music Trust Scholarship.
