Biography

Didier is a violinist and student at the Royal Northern College of Music. He studies with Yossi Zivoni and enjoys playing piano as his second instrument. Didier is currently first violin of the Levaré Quartet. He also enjoys improvising and has a keen interest in jazz.

Since beginning at the RNCM in September 2017, Didier has been involved in numerous projects; one particular highlight being a performance with Markus Stockhausen as co-leader of the Big Band Orchestra. Outside the conservatoire, Didier is a member of the Chineke! Orchestra and has performed with them in many of England’s most widely recognised concert venues.
Didier enjoys chamber music and is a member of both the Chineke! Junior and Levare string quartets. In March 2017, the Levare Quartet were winners of the Weil Prize and have since gone on to perform at Manchester’s Witworth Gallery and the Malvern Festival. As a member of the Chineke! Junior String Quartet, Didier has been involved in a range of projects, including performances at Kensington Palace and live on BBC Radio 3.

He is currently a member of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra’s ‘JX Band’, a collective of ten players who create their own original music. Didier also produces electronic music in his spare time, experimenting with many kinds of genres.
