Biography

Josh is a final-year student at the London College of Music (LCM), specialising in music performance with a major in classical piano. His broad experience includes performing as a soloist, accompanist, rehearsal pianist, orchestral musician, and tutor in piano and music theory. In addition to his piano expertise, Josh plays the accordion and tenor saxophone and also has experience in acting and singing, making him a versatile musician and performer.

A passionate advocate for musical theatre, Josh has been involved in numerous productions, both as a performer and a musical director. His stage credits include notable roles in “Phantom of the Opera,” “West Side Story,” “Avenue Q,” and a Welsh language production of “Fiddler on the Roof” among others. He has also worked as Musical Director for a range of productions, including “The Addams Family Musical” and “Les Misérables School Edition,” reflecting his deep commitment to the art form.

Josh’s enthusiasm for musical direction has taken him from his roots in South Wales to London, where he collaborated with the Musical Theatre course at LCM. Most recently, he served as Assistant Musical Director for LCM’s production of Stephen Sondheim’s “Anyone Can Whistle,” where he played an active role in rehearsals, arranging and orchestrating music, and performing with the LCM Show Band. This follows years of experience in musical direction, during which Josh has led productions, arranged music, and conducted performances, contributing to both the educational and professional aspects of the musical theatre world.
